Garney hires Bird to step up P3 development

Garney Construction wants to get into a rhythm of closing one water P3 a year in North America, after hiring veteran banker David Bird from Socie-te Generale as vice president of project finance and development. Bird served as financial advisor to Garney when it won the Vista Ridge water pipeline - a $927 million P3 which began delivering water to the City of San Antonio last year. His experience spans multiple infrastructure segments, and his levelheaded approach, combined with a fat contacts book, should complement Garney's existing business development resources.
