The Effect of Capital Competence on the Jordanian Banks Profitability

This study aims at investigating the effect of capital competence on the Jordanian commercial banks’ profitably through two measurements: capital competence versus total assets and capital competence versus risk assets. In regard to profitability it has been measured through return on investment (ROA), return on Equity (ROE) and return on share (EPS). In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a statistical test is conducted through the use of linear regression coefficient and the use of SPSS. The study revealed several results, and is concluded with recommendations, which assures the effect of capital competence on the Jordanian commercial banks profitability in facing risk and enhancing liquidity in order to achieve financial solidity.
