STARCOM planning team crafting future space test and training range architecture roadmap

The head of Space Training and Readiness Command said this week a new operational planning team began work this week to flesh out a five-to-10-year architecture roadmap for a new National Space Test and Training Range. The Space Force had previously developed an overarching vision for the new range, but with the standup of STARCOM last month, handed off that work to the service's newest field command, which is responsible for testing and training. Brig. Gen. Shawn Bratton, STARCOM commander, told reporters this week at the Air Force Association's Air, Space and Cyber Conference he expects to get a first look at the team's architecture document in January.
