JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, NJ - The Air Force's only active-duty air refueling base in the Northeast corridor received its first two KC-46 tankers on Tuesday. The 305th Air Mobility Wing at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ, which currently operates the KC-10, is slated to receive 24 new tankers over the next few years - 15 in fiscal year 2022 and nine in FY-23. As the new aircraft arrive at a cadence of about one per month, the wing will divest its KC-10s, a process scheduled to be complete in FY-23.
