摘要

We read with interest the letter by Singh et al.1 and we would like to make some comments. The issue of airborne transmission of SARS-COV-2 has been a dramatic concern and source of confusion since early in the COVID-19 pandemic,2 with recent data confirming this insidious route of viral infection.3 Given this scenario and considering the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) global shortage,2 there has been an outstanding and fast diffusion of low-cost, hand-crafted and ingenious alternatives and surrogates such as aerosol boxes and covers for healthcare professional’s (HCP’s) protection, with indications for use in recent guidelines.
