Plexiform neurofibromas with diffuse ganglioneuromatosis of the urinary bladder

We encountered a 26-year-old female with diagnosis of neurofibro- matosis type-1 (NF1) with a rare combination of diffuse lesions of plexiform neurofibromas (PNF) and ganglioneuromas (GN) involving the urinary bladder (Patient A). After searching our database, from out of 200 surgical and autopsy cases diagnosed with NF1 and ubiquitous PNF lesions, we found one additional case in a 22-year-old male with a similar combination of PNF and GN lesions involving the bladder (Pa- tient B). Further literature search revealed only five similar cases being described with a combination of these two lesions.
