All humans, including children, are influencedby various harmful environmental exposures.Children are not just small adults. Their organsand metabolism are still developing and verysensitive to a lot of external stressors. Damagingeffects of pollutants are influential even beforebirth. There are multiple environmental hazardsthat threaten children’s health such as radiation,air pollution, pesticides, and heavy metals.Some consumer products such as toys, homeitems, and gardening items, can be harmful, andsafe alternatives are needed. Moreover, indoorpollution cannot be disregarded since the safetyof indoor environment is important for humanhealth. Climate change also affects the health ofchildren.
