摘要

Despite the advances of the digitalization, predictions of the condition of components cannot be made accurately. During the production process, data is collected and connected with a certain component. A further utilization does not take place in most cases. Cyber-physical twins enable a customized acquisition of real-time data within the whole product life cycle and a user-oriented usage of this data for simulations to gain a certain benefit. Therefore, precise information of the actual state of a component can be achieved. This paper deals with the definition and conception of cyber-physical twins. Furthermore, benefits of cyber-physical twins are discussed.
