Self-declaration by Lithuania

Rabies was enzootic in Lithuania and it is compulsory to notify any occurrence ofthis disease. Statistical information about rabies outbreaks in Lithuania is availableback to 1960. Since 1992, in accordance with the Act on Veterinary Activities, everysuspicion of rabies must be notified to the Veterinary Authorities.
