Introduction: Malnutrition is often under-recognized in ESRD patients.A variety of subjective and objective tools are available. SGA-DialysisMalnutrition score (1999) is an easy-to-assess, fully quantitative versionof the original SGA score. The Malnutrition-Inflammation Score (MIS),is another such score which includes 7 components of SGA, plus BMI,serum albumin and TIBC. The Protein energy wasting (PEW) score,includes - Diet history, Clinical parameters and Lab parameters. The SF-36 KDQOL tool covers eight health concepts and is a comprehensivesubjective assessment of general health perception.
