In the title compound, C 8 H 5 ClF 3 NO, the F—C—C=O grouping shows a syn conformation [torsion angle = 1.1?(3)°] and an intra-molecular N—H?O hydrogen bond generates an S (6) ring. In the crystal, N—H?F and N—H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into [010] chains.
