Access to healthcareisafundamental human right.[1] The possibility to beableto providetherightadviceat theright timeto our patients formsthe basis ofremotetelemedicine. Fromtimeimmemorial,care has been limited by theaccess to the physician and also dependant on the patientsseeking it. With theadvent oftechnology tools, the possibility ofconnecting to patients has increased over the pastcouple of decades. Theconceptoftelemedicine over the years hasevolved frombeing an ancillary serviceto nowintegrating automated diagnosis [2]and also to assist in postsurgicalcare.[3]Theearlier need oftelemedicinesignificantly focussed on bridging the gap of provision of healthcareservices to theruralcommunitiesand seeking expert opinion fromthecare givers in tertiary care centres.
