Portugal sets the scene for greater take-up of wastewater reuse

EU-supported sustainable development programme PO SEUR has issued a call for the installation of tertiary treatment capacity in Portuguese wastewater treatment plants and the construction of distribution networks. The move follows the launch of Portugal's national wastewater reuse strategy in March 2019, and with the legislative and regulatory framework now in place, the country is looking to assess a broad range of technological, financing and operational solutions.
