This study provides an understanding on the state of research and on the existing literature gap on motivation through a leader's behavior. The study focused on situational, transformational and authentic leadership, as well as on ethical and emotional intelligent behavior. Hypotheses were constructed to develop an appropriate measurement model. The primary data collection was conducted through an online questionnaire with worldwide respondents. The findings show that all selected leadership styles and behavior were rated as motivating by the majority of respondents. Statistical test has shown that the level of motivation is not dependent on the respondent's nationality. This suggests that the selected behavior-sets can possibly be used to motivate multinational teams.
