ABSTRACT This research work describes the way to generate the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index of Ocean Colour Monitor (OCM) data and Vegetation of the Indian Ocean. Vegetation index are directly associated with the presence of Chlorophyll. In general, using the vegetation index, it is always possible to estimate Biomass value. In order to carry out the process, an estimation of biomass is carried out with respect to percentage of vegetation coverage obtained from Ocean Colour Monitor (OC.
