ABSTRACT This study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of zileuton on the progression of atherosclerosis. A total of 28 local domestic rabbits were used in this study and were randomized into to four groups. Group I (normal control) received standard chow diet, other three groups received atherogenic diet (2% cholesterol) and treated as follows: Group II (atherogenic control) received no treatment, Group III (vehicle control) received ethanol 10 % as solvent, Group IV received zileuton 150 m.
