MicroRNAs(miRNAs)areknowntoplayimportantrolesinliverregeneration,althoughtheroleofmiRNAsassociatedwiththeterminationofliverregenerationisnotaswellstudied.Herewereportedthedown‐regulationofmiR‐23bintheterminationstageofliverregenerationinrats.Inaddition,Smad3wasidentifiedasatargetofmiR‐23bduringliverregeneration.Up‐regulationofmiR‐23bpromotedBRL‐3Acellproliferationandpartiallyinhibitedtransforminggrowthfactor(TGF)‐β1‐inducedapoptosis.Furthermore,TGF‐β1transcriptionallyinhibitedmiR‐23bexpression.Weconcludethatdown‐regulationofmiR‐23bmaycontributetoactivationoftheTGF‐β1/Smad3signallingpathwayduringtheterminationstageofliverregeneration...
