Comparision of iv Dexmedetomidine V/S iv Clonidine In Hemodynamic Stability in Laparoscopic Surgery.

ABSTRACT To compare and evaluate the efficacy of the two alpha agonists Clonidine and Dexmedetomidine in prevention of hemodynamic stress response to laryngoscopy, intubation and carbon dioxide pneumoperitoneum. Forty five patients of ASA I & II posted for laparoscopic surgery were studied. Patients were randomly allocated into 3 groups. Group I (Placebo group; n=15) were given Inj Normal Saline iv.Group II (Clonidine group; n=15) were given Inj Clonidine 1.5 mcg /kg iv 15 minutes before induct.
