ABSTRACT The in vitro antioxidant and in vivo hepatoprotective effects of aqueous extract of Allium cepa bulb were evaluated in male Wistar rats against paracetamol induced liver damage in preventive and curative models. The antioxidant activity of Allium cepa was assayed by DPPH, hydroxyl and superoxide radical scavenging activity.
