ABSTRACT Green chemistry is the design of chemical products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use and/or generation of hazardous substances. Imidazoles are one such library of compounds that is being extensively worked on. In the present study various tetra substituted imidazoles are synthesized using domestic microwave oven which showed significant reduction in reaction time, increased yield and very short time for the synthesis of library of compounds.
