BackgroundandObjective:Contaminationofwaterandsoilwithheavymetalsresultsfromindustrialactivitiesisoneoftheimportantdangersthatthreatensnaturalecosystemsandhumanbeing.Becausethesemetalsdonotdegradeandduetotheirbiologicalaccumulationpropertyintissues,theyentertofoodchainandleadtodifferentdiseases.Forthesereasons,fishareamongtheorganismsthatareexposedtobiologicalaccumulationofthesemetals.TheaimofthisstudywastoevaluatehealthqualityofconsumablefishbyKhorramshahrpeople.SubjectsandMethods:Inthisstudywecollected30Otolithesrubberand30PampusargenteusfishspeciesfromthefishmarketofKhorramshahr.Afterchemicaldigestingofmuscletissue,concentrationoflead,cadmiumandnickelweremeasuredusingInductivelyCoupledPlasma(model,USA).Results:Averageconcentrationoflead,cadmiumandnickelwereestimatedinOtolithesrubberrespectively1.89,0.58and2.20μg/gdryweightandinPampusargenteusrespectively1.52,0.48and1.08μg/gdryweightunit.Conclusion:TheresultsofthisstudyincomparisonwithstandardsofWHOshowedthataverageconcentrationofthesethreemetalsinmuscletissueofbothfishwashigherthanallowedlimitofWHOthatcanposedangertohumanhealth.
