Theaimofthisresearchistodetectmisconceptionsintheconceptofphysicsathighschoollevelbyusingastronomyquestionsasatestinginstrument.Misconceptionisdefinedasathoughtoranideathatisdifferentfromwhathasbeenagreedbyexpertswhoarereliableinthefield,anditisbelievedtointerferewiththeacquisitionofnewunderstandingandintegrationofnewknowledgeorskills.Whilelackofconceptorknowledgecanbecorrectedwiththenextinstructionandlearning,studentswhohavemisconceptionshaveto"unlearn"theirmisconceptionbeforelearningacorrectone.Therefore,theabilitytodifferentiatebetweenthesetwothingsbecomescrucial.CRIisoneofthemethodsthatcanidentifyefficiently,betweenmisconceptionsandlackofknowledgethatoccurinthestudents.Thisresearchusedquantitative-descriptivemethodwithex-post-factoresearchapproach.Aninstrumentusedforthetestisastronomyquestionsthatrequireanunderstandingofphysicsconceptstosolvetheproblem.Byusingastronomyquestions,itisexpectedtoraiseabetterunderstandingsuchthataconceptcanbeviewedfromvariousfieldsofscience.Basedontestresults,misconceptionsarefoundonseveraltopicsofphysics.Thistestalsorevealedthatstudent'sabilitytoanalyseaproblemisstillquitelow...
