A Case Report of Refractory Gout: Efficacy of High-Dose Anti-IL1r Treatment

Gout is an inflammatory disease characterized by the deposition of monosodium urate (MSU) crystals in joints and other tissues. In a significant portion of patients, hyperuricemia is part of the metabolic syndrome; therefore, secondary causes of gout should be looked for and treated.
