Because of the Affordable Care Act, health care systems are coordinating care through accountable care organizations (ACOs) in order to reduce the cost of care and improve quality of care.1 It is conceivable many of these ACOs will credential chiropractors to provide neuromusculoskeletal care for patients suffering with acute and chronic pain. Certainly chiropractors willing to integrate into ACOs and other coordinated care organizations should seek opportunities to become members of the health care team along with MD, DO, APRN, and PA providers. If you are invited to become a provider, the organization will ask you to complete a credentialing process, which will include the submission of your curriculum vitae (CV).
