RELATIONSHIP OF PARENTS AS EDUCATORS WITH THE PROVISION OF EARLY EDUCATION IN EARLY CHILDREN (4-6 YEARS) IN US TK SUNAH BANJARMASIN

Lack of parents as educators in sex education for children and if it is not started early will cause the child to know sex from the wrong source. The Banjarmasin region was recorded in 2017 cases of sexual violence against minors with victims of 30 cases and child perpetrators 11 cases. This study aims to determine the relationship of parents as educators with the provision of sex education for early childhood (4-6 years) at TK As Sunah Banjarmasin. The research method uses analytical cross sectional approach. The population of this study were all parents of children aged 4-6 years in As Sunah kindergarten totaling 20 students. Accidental sampling technique was taken by statistical tests using the Spearman Rank test. The results of the study of 20 respondents, obtained from 13 parents as good educators (65%) with the provision of good sex education as many as 12 good people (60%). There is a parent relationship as an educator with the provision of sex education for early childhood (4-6 years) in TK As Sunah (ρ value 0,000 α 0,05). The role of parents and the provision of sex education can be carried out optimally by increasing and promoting knowledge about sex education in early childhood.
