Successful management of a very large common hepatic duct stone in a patient with pancreaticoduodenectomy by use of cholangioscopy and electrohydraulic lithotripsy

A 78-year-old man with a history of pancreaticoduodenectomy for symptomatic serous cystadenoma of thepancreatic head came to our hospital with acute ascendingcholangitis. MRCP revealed a large filling defect in the common hepatic duct (Fig. 1A) with dilatated intrahepaticducts (Fig. 1B). ERCP was performed with an adultcolonoscope because of the patient’s altered anatomy.
