Os benefícios e desafios na aplica??o dos princípios do lean production em uma indústria de equipamentos hidráulicos: um estudo de caso

This main objective is present which are the most benefits and challenges found applying the Lean Production System. The methodology applied was literature review and field research The case study was done in the US firm producing hydraulic equipment, located in the region of Campinas/SP, where were registered effective changes according to Lean Production principles seeking productivity increase, defects reduction and restructuring of logistics processes. Subsequently were analyzed the results obtained by monthly quantitative charts of production volume and quality control covering from the conception to the conclusion of the project, getting a positive evaluation, meeting previous expectations after a significant increase in the efficiency level of the assembly line of this case study. In addition to the effective productivity increase of 49.39%, were developed improvements in processes of support areas, as quality and logistics.
