De l’odeur à l’impact sur le territoire

Odors, olfactory discomfort and nuisances are increasingly topical around industrial sites in Europe. Site operators are often deprived in front of the complaints of the neighborhood or the impositions in their prefectural decrees. The actions taken to measure the pollution or correct the situation are often far from actual needs. The objective of this article is first to describe the different dimensions of this problem, then to present the methodologies and measurement techniques adapted to characterize these dimensions, from perception to complaints.
