Inthiscontributionwereportresultsofourinvestigationsontheferromagneticbehaviorofpristineandchemicallytreatedcarbonnanotubes,synthesizedbyACarcdischargemethodusingironpowderascatalyst.Themagneticpropertiesofthecarbonnanotubessamplesbeforeandafterchemicaltreatmentweremeasuredatroomtemperatureinavibrating-samplemagnetometer.Weobservedsignificantchangesoftheferromagneticbehaviorofcarbonnanotubesafterthepurificationandconcludedthatthemagneticpropertiesofcarbonnanotubessynthesizedusingferromagneticcatalystaregovernedbytheferromagneticcatalystnanoparticlesattachedtotheirwallsduringsynthesis.
