The paper analyses the results of a survey related to the perception of pre- school teachers on the way they implement in science classes inquiry-based methods.The survey is based on the "elf-reflection tool for kindergarten teachers" developedin the frame of the FP7 project "ibonacci" and it is, according to authors"knowledge,the first report on the application of this tool at European level. Six pre-school teacherswere asked to fill a questionnaire of 38 questions associated to criteria reflectinginquiry-based science education (IBSE) practice concerning: teacher" relation withlearners; pupils"activities in science class; pupils"records in science learning.
