Chronic wasting disease in Norway

Norway is a country that has been free from most contagious diseases in both domesticated and wild animals. This is a circumstance of great value for farmers, consumers and society as a whole. To be the ?rst country outside North America/Canada with cases of chronic wasting disease (CWD) therefore came as a surprise. Our efforts are now directed towards getting a good overview of the situation and doing what we can to mitigate the spread of the disease within Norway and to other countries.
