OIE Sub-Regional Representation for Southern Africa Dr Moetapele Letshwenyo Dr Moetapele Letshwenyo joined the OIE as the Sub-Regional Representative for Southern Africa on 1 October 2014. Dr Letshwenyo studied at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS), and as a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS), in 1991. Thereafter he joined the Veterinary Services of Botswana as a ?eld veterinarian, responsible for the coordination and implementation of disease control and prevention programmes. He subsequently gained a Master’s degree in Preventative Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis, in the United States, in 1995. Dr Letshwenyo also has a Master’s degree in Business Administration, awarded by the University of Botswana in 2002.
