摘要

Cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase (CGTase; EC 2.4.1.19) catalyzes the cyclodextrin formation starting from malto-oligosaccharides or starch as well as the transglycosylation reactions. In this paper, we described the glycosylation of the hesperidin by the CGTase from Bacillus circulans produced by Bacillus subtilis transformed with plasmid pDP66K. Glycosylation of the hesperidin was achieved in the organic solvents and validated using the reaction products analysis by thin-layer chromatography (TLC) on silica gel and fast atom bombardment/mass spectrometry (FAB-MS). By glycosylation, the hesperidin solubility increases. This latter aspect leads to enhancing of the hesperidin applications fields in the medical practice.
