AtotalofnineteenthousandeighthundredeggswerecollectedfromparentstockfarmduringthisstudyperiodforthreetreatmentsTimsen,AmbicideandFumigation.Ninehatchesunderonetreatmentwereobservedbybreakoutanalysisandsixthousandsixhundredeggsforeachtreatmentweretakenfortheexperiment.Timsen(n-Alkyldimethylbenzylammoniumchloride40%,stabilizedurea60%)andAmbicide(tertiaryalkylamineandatwinchainquaternaryammoniumcompound)weredilutedwithwateratarateof1g/lit.waterand10ml/lit.waterrespectivelyformakingdisinfectantsolution.DatawereanalyzedusingCRDwiththehelpofSPSSprogramme.Amongthreetreatments,percentageofgoodchickwasapparentlyhighest(85.79)withTimsen,mediumwithFumigation(85.36)andlowestwithAmbicide(84.09)(P0.05).Thepercentageofinfertileeggswasfoundtobeinsignificant.Percentageofculledchickswassignificantly(p0.05)highestwithfumigation(2.47)andlowestwith,buthadsimilaritybetweenTimsen(1.79)andAmbicide(1.61).PercentageofdeadchickswassignificantlyhighestwithAmbicide(0.24)andlowestwithTimsen(0.09).Deadinshell(DIS)percentageofmidwashighestwithAmbicideandlowestwithTimsen.PiplivepercentagefoundtobesignificantlyhighestwithFumigation(0.71)andlowestwithTimsen(0.27)andAmbicide(0.26).RotteneggpercentagewassignificantlyhighestwithAmbicide(2.33)andlowestwithFumigation(1.06).ThereisfoundthatpercentageofgoodchickstobehighestanddeadchickswerelowestusingTimsencomparedtoAmbicideandFumigationbutpercentageofchicksculled,pipliveandliveinsidearehigherwithFumigationthananyotherdisinfectant.Therefore,itcanberecommendedthatTimsenmaybeeffectivedisinfectantforusinginthehatcheryatalowercost.
