Thestudyoftheeffectofthelevelofincorporationofthemolassesandthesourceoftheruminalfluidoninvitrodigestibilityofthericestrawtreatedwith5%ureawasconductedinCamerouninAugust2014.ChemicalcompositionanalysisofricestrawwasdoneaccordingtotheAOACmethods(2000).Twosourcesofruminalliquid(fromsheepandgoat)andthreelevelsofmolasses(0;5and10%)wereusedforthisstudy.RuminalfluidofbothaDjalonkélampandtheAfricanDwarfgoatwereseparatelycollectedandincubatedwith500mgoffeedsample(500mgofnbsp;ricestrawNonassociatedorassociatedwith5or10%ofmolasses)at39°Cinawaterbath,aspergas-testmethod.nbsp;Thisstudyshowedthatthegasproductionwasnotaffected(P0.05)bytheadditionofmolassestoricestrawtreatedwith5%urea.Ontheotherhand,thedrymattermineralizedincreasedsignificantly(p0.05)withthelevelofincorporationofmolassesregardlessofthesourceofrumenfluid.Withthesheeprumenfluid,thePR5+M5rationhelpedtogetthehighestgasproduction(31.3ml/500mg).Generallygoatrumenfluidgivedthebestresultswhatevertherationconsidered.
