Abstract:Objective To evaluate the preventive effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on deep venous thrombosis(DVT)of lower extremity after major orthopedic surgery. Methods 〓Totally 144 patients undergoing major orthopedic surgery were randomly divided into control group(n=72)and the observation group(n=72). Both two groups were given drug intervention and routine nursing care after surgery, and those in the observation group received comprehensive nursing intervention including TCM massage, mechanical intervention, position nursing and health education. The incidence of DVT of lower extremity and satisfactory degree to nursing service were compared between two groups. Results 〓The incidences of DVT of lower extremity was 2.78% in the observation group and 11.11% in control group, with a significant difference(P0.05). The nursing satisfactory rate was higher in the observation group than that of controls(P0.05). Conclusion 〓Comprehensive nursing intervention shows potential in reducing the risk of DVT of lower extremity after major orthopedic surgery.
