Abstract:Objective To investigate the intervention effect on nutrition and diet of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in second level hospitals. Methods A questionnaire of diabetes nutrition and diet in second hospitals was design, and patients with type 2 diabetes in the hospital were randomly selected. The questionnaire survey was used to investigate the cognition of the balanced nutrition, reasonable diet knowledge and life style of the patients before and after nutrition education. And the result was compared. Results Nutrition education could improve recognition of diabetic diet and nutrition of diabetic patients. After health education, diabetes patients could master diabetes nutrition and diet knowledge, and correctly chose diet. Conclusion Implementation of diabetes nutrition education can effectively improve the diabetes diet and nutrition knowledge level in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and correct dietary behaviors and promote healthy lifestyle.
