Pseudomonas tomato in New Zealand

摘要

Abstract Pseudomonas tomato (Okabe 1933) Alstatt 1944 is recorded in New Zealand causing a disease known as bacterial speck, which was reported earlier (Reid 1948) to be caused by Ps. punctulans (Bryan 1933) Dowson 1943. Symptoms are described and the physiological and biochcmical characters of New Zealand isolates are compared with Ps. tomato and Ps. punctulans from overseas collections.
