Abstract:Objective To investigate the follow-up management based on Wechat Platform in patients with an indwelling catheter after percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder drainage(PTGD). Methods 〓Totally 110 patients with an indwelling catheter after PTGD were assigned to the observation group(n=56)and the control group(n=54). Patients of both two groups received routine health education before discharge, and those in the observation group were given follow-up management based on Wechat Platform after discharge. After 4 weeks of follow-up, the knowledge level of patients and incidence of complications were compared between two groups. Results Patients of the observation group were more knowledgeable about the catheter maintenance compared with those of controls(P0.05). The incidence of catheter dislocation, infection and blockage of the tube was lower than that of controls respectively(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The application of follow-up management based on Wechat Platform can help to increase the awareness of catheter-related knowledge of patients and reduce the risk of catheter-related complications.
