：As one of the most common surgeries in Department of Neurosurgery, external cerebrospinal fluid drainage has a certain curative effect, but also has some risks. It is very important for the patients undergoing external cerebrospinal fluid drainage to receive corresponding nursing. To improve the nursing quality and promote the patients' rehabilitation, this paper mainly reviewed the nursing current status of external cerebrospinal fluid drainage in the perioperative period in recent years.
