Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of short message service by Wechat and QQ platform in health education for pregnant women. Methods A total of 50 pregnant women with established maternal health manual were randomly divided into the study group and the control group, with 25 cases in each group. Both two groups received routine maternal education in pregnancy school, and pregnant women in the study group received maternal healthcare knowledge by Wechat and QQ platform additionally. To track the participation condition of pregnant women, and to compare the cesarean section rate and fetal macrosomia birthrate between two groups. Results The participant rate was 80.0%(20/25)in the study group and was 40.0%(10/25)in the control group, with a significant different(P0.01). The cesarean section rate and fetal macrosomia birthrate was lower in the study group than those in the control group, but with no significant difference(P0.05). Conclusion The effect of maternal healthcare knowledge by Wechat and QQ platform can strengthen the education effect for pregnant women in pregnancy school.
