摘要

The practice of landscaping is best understood by looking at who the contemporary designers are what work they do and in what professional realm they operate. If we take into account the range of possibilities a landscape architect has —from work on projects that take place in the wilderness to rural and urban environments— one can go from designing a small interior patio to projects that hace major environmental impact. Based on my knowledge and professional experience I am going to focus mainly on the types of landscapes I have been able to develop; the restoration of historic gardens, urban landscapes and private gardens, making reference to and showing examples of the works of other professionals in the field. In conclusion I will underline the importance of gardens and the relationship between ecology and the traditions of landscape design.
