摘要

Harmony search method is used for the optimum design of steel space frames in this study. Harmony search is based on the analogy between finding the best harmony of musicians and optimization problems. The objective of the optimum design is to obtain the minimum-weight steel frames. Strength constraints, displacement and size constraints are used for the design constraints in the optimum design. Geometrically nonlinear effects are also considered in the analysis of steel frames. Two steel space frames, which were optimized previously using genetic algorithms and tabu search, are used to test the efficiency of harmony search method. The results obtained from harmony search method are compared with the results obtained from genetic algorithms and tabu search methods. The comparisons showed that the harmony search method yielded lighter designs.Bu ?aly?mada uzay ?elik ?er?evelerin optimum tasarymy armoni arama y?ntemi ile ger?ekle?tirilmi?tir.
