The resolvers as position or speed transducers are largerly used in many fields, the industry of cars with hibryd drive or entirely electric tranction included. In the case of the car drive, these transducers are integrated in the construction of brushless electric moor with: motor/alternator, electric brake, servo-valves, determination of the steering angle. The present paper deals with a short history of thee development of these transducers in Icpe, as well as with some researches regarding the construction of the resolvers without any rotor winding.Keywords: resolvers, VR resolver, hybrid vehicle, electric vehicle, soft magnetic alloys
