摘要

This paper describes a technique by which we can reduce the noise impacting the performance of digital communication system using adaptive filter. Adaptive filters self learn. As the signal into the filter continues, the adaptive filter coefficients adjust themselves to achieve the desired result such as canceling noise in the input signal. Simulation has been performed and the results using adaptive filter are compared with the previous amplitude probability distribution (APD) based measurement technique. It has been observed that bit error rate (BER) has been reduced considerably if adaptive filters are used.
