Pacififa : A New Measure for Evaluating Authors' Productivity and Activity Over Time

In this paper,we introduce a new measurefor evaluatingand characterizingthe scientific output of aresearcher over time. ThePACIFIFAis a measure that takes differentattributes intoaccountin the processofevaluating the productivity,quality of research,and research activity of a researcher.This measuretakes into account the number of the publications of the author,the sum of thecitations of the publications,theH-Index of co-authors, theaverageimpact factor of thehostjournals, theaverage impact factor of theresearch field of the author, and the time interval between the first and thelast publication of the author.The advantage of this measure is that it gives an overview about theauthor'sproductivity, quality ofpublications, publicationsfrequency over time, andthe quality of the researcher(s)he/sheworked with.Incomparison to other measures, our measure showed a higher accuracy and reliability
