Improving the quality of psychiatry teaching within the UK undergraduate medical curriculum

We read with great interest the article by Shah,1 which outlines various approaches to increase the exposure of undergraduate medical students to specialties such as psychiatry. While Shah1 makes valid suggestions to tackle this issue without altering the undergraduate medical school curriculum, we believe that there is scope for significant improvements within the curriculum for psychiatry in particular.
