Objective:AtieredcurriculumintegratedinformationliteracyprogramdevelopedforaQualityEnhancementPlan(QEP)isdescribedinbrief.Theliteraturerelatedtocurriculumintegratedinformationliteracyprogramsisreviewed.Assessmentdataisanalyzedtoshowtheimpactoftheprogramonundergraduatestudents’abilitiestoimproveinformationliteracycompetenciesinupperlevelundergraduateresearchprojectsinavarietyofdisciplines.Methods:Mixedmethodsareused.StandardizedinformationliteracyassessmentsareusedtoestablishbaselineknowledgelevelsofILskillsofundergraduatestudentsentering[InstitutionName]beginninginFall2009.AlocallydevelopedrubricisusedtodeterminehowwellILskillsareusedinupperleveldisciplinespecificresearchprojectsthroughSpring2014.Surveysandinterviewswithselectstudentsandfacultyareusedtoprovidesupplementaryqualitativeperspectiveontheuseofinformationliteracyskillsintheresearchprojects.Results:Allofthestudentsinthiscohortmetorexceededbenchmarksspecifiedfortherubricbeforetheplanwasimplemented.Resultssuggestatiered,curriculumintegratedinformationliteracyinstructionprogramcaneffectivelyleadstudentstoimproveinformationliteracycompetenciesinupperlevelresearchprojects.Conclusions:University-levelinformationliteracyrelatedlearningoutcomescanbeeffectivelyimplementedandreachedusingatieredcurriculumintegratedapproach.Thisstudyprovidessupportforthetrendtowardcurriculumintegratedinformationliteracythroughoutundergraduateprograms.
