ThearticlediscussesthepedagogicalbackgroundonwhichthedesignoftheonlinetutorialS?kamp;Skriv(#039;SearchandWrite#039;)isbased.ThetutorialS?kamp;Skrivisspeciallydesignedfordistancelearningstudents,butcanalsobeusedbystudentsoncampus.S?kamp;Skrivaimsatincreasingstudents#039;informationanddigitalliteracywiththeultimategoalofempoweringthemtograduallybecomelegitimatemembersoftheacademiccommunity,aswellaslifelonglearners.Further,thetutorialsetsouttomakeacontributiontothepedagogicaldevelopmentofusereducationattheacademiclibrary.Thearticleshowshowageneraldidacticalmodel,namelythedidacticalrelationshipmodel(Hiimamp;Hippe,1998),hasbeenappliedtoenrichinformationliteracyeducationpractice,andinthiscasespecifically,toenrichthedesignofonlineeducation.
