How the Medical School Library can Better Serve the Graduate Student

THE suggestions I have to offer come from ten graduate students who have used a total of fifteen different medical school libraries throughout the United States. These graduate students represent the fields of anatomy, bacteriologyr biochemistry, and other related medical sciences. I should like to say here that no one student had more than one or two suggestions to make, and this I think speaks very well for the existing medical school library services. But no matter how good a department or a service may be, there are always certain changes or additions that we think might make them just a little better. As I present these suggestions, I am sure each of you can visualize his own library and try to see whether any of the suggestions are already carried out or might be incorporated in it to advantage.
